The Man Who Would-Be Crunchtoof
In memory of our friend Ryan Bright
We
want to express our great sadness for the loss of a dear friend,
Ryan Bright.
Ryan had this great idea to make a real-life suit of our lovable furry monster mascot "Crunchtoof" (he's the big ol' red monster in our group photo). He then enthusiastically volunteered to run around in the suit on stage while the band played. Frankly, the idea was pure genius and once Blue Surround began doing live shows, we really intended on making this happen somehow. And for anyone who knew Ryan, there's no one else with a large enough stature or personality to pull it off. Now that he's gone, it's difficult to imagine anybody else taking this crazy idea on.
Ryan was always thinking up fun things like that. He was always the life of a party and just a great guy to be around. He was a wonderful friend and left us much too early. He'll be missed beyond words.
