To escape the witch hunt on their family, Joseph and Elise DeLorme flee France to colonial America with their young daughter Victoria.  Fearing discovery, they vow to keep their powers secret, but it isn’t long before they realize Victoria’s abilities are too unstable to be harnessed and the family is blamed for mysterious, unexplained fires plaguing the township.

The townsfolk are up in arms as suspicion grows to hostility against the DeLormes.  As her parents face possible execution, Victoria is haunted by a strange, eerie voice warning her he’ll be there for her soon...
